Normally, when people expel droplets, like in droplet diseases, the droplets dry out which kills the germ. However, with airborne diseases these germs SURVIVE the drying out process and turn into droplet nuclei. These droplet nuclei are residue particles (SUPER small…can’t see them) that can be inhaled and hang out in the air.
